Silibeads type SL glass beads are low alkaline aluminum borosilicate glass beads used as wear resistant grinding beads in ball mills.

They are produced by special thermal forming processes in rotary kilns.

The production process of glass beads differs from conventional melting processes due to the very low energy consumption.

Application areas

Grinding or dispersing balls

For special grinding in ball mills of all types, SiLibeads type SL glass beads are used for grinding products with special quality requirements, for example magnetic tape compounds, anti-corrosion paints and Grinding suspensions sensitive when the pH value changes during the grinding process, as well as thermal paper liners for fax machines.
