Silibeads type S glass beads are soda-lime glass beads used in many applications such as grinding, dispersion, fillers, reflective beads, shot blasting.

Silibeads type S soda-lime glass beads are available in diameters ranging from 0.05 to 5 mm. They are produced by special thermal forming processes in rotary kilns.

The production process of glass beads differs from conventional melting processes due to the very low energy consumption.

Application areas

Grinding or dispersing balls

Due to their properties, SiLibeads Type S glass beads are ideally suited as grinding and dispersing beads in horizontal or vertical bead mills for wet grinding of dyes, pigments, inks, agrochemicals, minerals, chemical fillers , paper and plastics.

Particle sizes less than 10 microns can be achieved easily.

SiLibeads type S glass beads create little wear and tear on the mills and thus make their use very economical.

Charges:

SiLibeads Type S beads are used as fillers in the chemical, paper and plastics industries. Filler balls increase the physical properties of thermoplastics and thermosets.

Reflective beads

Glass beads play a decisive role in road safety. Retroreflection causes the vehicle's headlight to reflect back to the driver, causing road markings to “shine”.

Shot blasting

SiLibeads type S glass beads are used for the mechanical surface treatment (microbeading) of various materials such as wood, metal or plastic. The cost-benefit ratio is unmatched.
