Silibeads Type ZY-Pharma ceramic balls are used as grinding balls and are characterized by extremely high wear resistance.
This property is based on the use of ultra-fine and high purity crystalline raw materials in the manufacturing process and the chemical composition of which is constant.
The very good roundness as well as the dense and polished surface of the balls also contribute to this wear resistance and therefore to the long life cycle.
Minimal contamination of the ground material, for example by critical elements such as zirconium and yttrium, is thus avoided thus ensuring the highest possible quality of the ground product. This applies in particular to materials and products from the nanoparticle range.
Application areas
In the pharmaceutical industry, Silibeads ZY-P Pharma beads are used for ultra-fine nanoscale grinding for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API).
Ceramic beads are also suitable as mixing beads in high speed mixers or for the biological disintegration of cells.

SiLibeads® ZY-P Pharma ceramic beads have high density, fine pore structure, polished surface and great roundness as well as high wear resistance. Since they have no radioactivity, their use for pharmaceutical applications is harmless. The balls are checked by measuring the surface roughness by laser microscopy. A large number of certificates of analysis and GMP compliant tests are available.
