Sample holder for QUV

Sample mounting

The standard sample holders supplied with the QUV enclosures are designed to accommodate flat samples: plastics, paints and films of various sizes.

Thick and 3D parts can also be exposed using optional sample holders. We also offer tailor-made solutions for your specific needs.

All of our standard brackets comply with ASTM G154.

Flat sample holders

We offer flat sample holders suitable for flat samples up to 6 mm thick (up to 20 mm with clips ref. V-133-K).

Each sample holder can accommodate two 2 samples and comes with 2 aluminum panels and fixing rings.

3 sizes are available:

• V-131.3-X: 75 × 150 mm or 48 samples in the QUV Solar Eye chamber.
• V-131.4-X: 100 × 150 mm or 32 samples in the QUV Solar Eye chamber.
• V-131.6-X: 150 × 150 mm or 24 samples in the QUV Solar Eye chamber.

Supports for tensile specimens

These V-131.3TX sample holders allow you to directly expose your tensile specimens and thus be able to directly assess the mechanical properties of your plastic or elastomer formulations post-exposure.

Fixing clips allow up to 3 dumbbells with a maximum length of 200 mm to be exposed on the same support

3D adjustable depth boxes

This 3D sample support consists of a perforated grid, adjustable in depth, sliding in a box, in order to adjust the support to the thickness of your samples.

We offer two types of boxes: 100 and 200 mm deep, with an adjustable grid in 3 mm steps in both cases.

• V-60 301-K: Adjustable sample holder 25 to 100 mm thick (maximum sample size 495x311x100 mm, 4 supports to be provided to fill the chamber)
• V-60 292-K: Adjustable sample holder 25 to 200 mm thick (maximum sample size 495x311x200 mm, 4 supports to be provided to fill the chamber)

When adjusting the depth of the grid, the surface of the exposed parts should be positioned at the same distance from the lamps as when using standard flat sample holders

Sample holders for specific applications:

We have designed sample holders specific to certain applications such as for example a support for small 3D parts or a support for wood or composite slats (V-4962-K for slats up to 495 x 38 x 324 mm). All our specific models are available in stock

• V-4019-X: Adjustable QUV sample holder for small 3D parts (Dimension 75x324x17 mm, to be ordered at least by 5 units)
• V-4960-X: QUV sample holder for small 3D parts (Dimension 75x324x25 mm, to be ordered at least by 6 units)
• V-4961-X: QUV sample holder for 3D parts up to 495x324x25 mm
• V-4962-K: QUV sample holder for wooden slides up to 495x324x38 mm

Custom sample holder

When none of our media is suitable for your samples, or for your very specific needs, we offer tailor-made solutions. These sample holders can contain retaining clips to fix heavy pieces for example, or pieces of very particular shape. Our engineers always find a suitable and efficient solution
