RK standard bar coaters specifications

The coating weight applied with RK wire wound metering bars is controlled by the diameter of wire used.

Bars are generally available with wire diameters in increments of 0.025mm (0.001") from 0.05mm to 2.0mm (0.002"-0.080") which equates to 2 micron steps in wet film.

The following table shows a typical list of wire diameters stocked by RK together with the wet film deposit to be expected and the "standard" RK bar reference numbers.
