ZX-3 / ZX-5 / ZX-5DL wall thickness gauges
These gauges are used to measure the thickness of various materials: cast iron, steel, aluminum, glass, ceramics, hard plastics, etc.
The use of a single element transducer equipped with a delay line allows the measurement of small thicknesses of materials. Its 4 measurement modes make it a versatile device.

• 4 measurement modes: Pulse-Echo (PE), Echo-Echo (EE) (thickness without coating), Interface-Echo (IE) (total thickness
coating included) and PLAS (thin plastics).
• Scan function allowing high speed scanning over a large area.
• Differential mode: direct display of the deviation from the fixed thickness.
• Internal memory of 10,000 measurements and data processing on a computer (model PZX-7DL).
• Different probes (5 to 20 MHz frequency; 3/16 "to 1/2" diameter) and delay lines available.
• Supplied as standard with the 15 MHz 1/4 "probe and 2 acrylic delay lines 3/8" L and 1/2 "L.
• Measuring range depends on the type of material, the frequency and the diameter of the probe.

Measure the thicknesses of coated or uncoated walls in steel, cast iron, plastic, etc. Ideal for controlling the effect of corrosion or erosion on containers, pipelines and all structures where access is only possible from one side.
These gauges are used to measure the thickness of various coated materials: painted steel, painted aluminum, painted stainless steel, etc. They measure without taking into account the thickness of the coating.
