The Coatmaster Atline thickness gauge is the ideal solution for non-contact thickness measurement of coatings in the laboratory or in production (stationary installation)
Thanks to its patented thermal analysis technique (Advanced Thermal Optic), it can measure:
The measuring principle is simple: The device sends a light flash on the surface (compatible with the fire detection systems of paint booths), this causes a slight rise in surface temperature for a fraction of a second.
The device then analyzes the time it takes for the surface to return to the initial temperature and, thanks to the algorithms developed by Winterthur, will calculate the thickness of the coating (the thicker the coating, the longer the return to temperature time will be)
Unlike equipment operating by ultrasound which requires to be at a defined distance from the surface and perpendicular to the surface, the Coatmaster Atline allows measurements:
This makes the measurement both fast (about 20 ms) and easy for the operator.
The Coatmaster Atline can be installed on your painting line in a fixed position

Your solution for non-contact coating thickness measurement.
These devices measure the thickness of films and sheets of plastic, paper, metal, etc. The measurement is carried out by pinching the film between two flat discs, after checking the zero on the display.
Continuous non-contact coating thickness measurement in production.
The use of a single element transducer equipped with a delay line allows the measurement of small thicknesses of materials. Its 4 measurement modes make it a versatile device.
Measures the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on steel including small, hot or difficult to access surfaces.
Reference: PowderChecker
The Powder Checker is a non-contact ultrasonic measuring device that predicts before baking the final thickness that will be obtained after baking. Thickness problems are detected immediately in order to adjust the powdering parameters without having to wait for the first pieces to come out of the oven. This makes it possible to optimize the application,...
Simple and economical tool for non-destructive thickness measurements of non-magnetic coatings on steel or cast iron.
These gauges are used to measure the thickness of various coated materials: painted steel, painted aluminum, painted stainless steel, etc. They measure without taking into account the thickness of the coating.
Comb gauges in hardened aluminum and epoxy varnish measuring the thickness of wet films from 25 to 2000 µm.
Standard instruments in the industry, these simple, robust and precise thickness gauges use the principles of magnetic induction and eddy currents to measure coating thickness on ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Stainless steel graduated comb gauges for quick and easy measurement of the thickness of a wet film applied to a flat surface.
A calibrated wheel fitted with an eccentric inner disc is rolled on the wet film until a trace appears on the inner disc. The wet thickness measurement corresponds to the position of the end of the impression.
